Wise County EMS is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of part-time Paramedic and part-time EMT. Carefully review the job summary, qualifications, and instructions before applying for this position. Only applicants meeting the minimum required qualifications listed for this position need apply. TO BE ELIGIBLE, THE APPLICANT MUST:
▫ be at least 18 years of age on or before the date of applying;
▫ be a citizen of the United States by birth or by naturalization;
▫ have a high school diploma or GED;
▫ be able to read, write and speak the English language;
▫ pass a thorough criminal background investigation, driving record, and reference check;
▫ successfully complete a Written Competency Examination
▫ successfully complete an Oral Interview Process;
▫ possess at a minimum a Texas Class C driver’s license
▫ be of good moral character

Wise County EMS part-time employees are required to work a minimum of 20 hours per calendar month, but not to exceed 30 hours in a calendar week. Shifts are available via text notification from the supervisor on a first response basis. Most of the full-time positions are filled from our part-time employees dependent on department needs.
